Seeking Him ~Count down Day 12
Have you gotten the hang of this starting out in prayer and
reading yet? I like to do them together because it helps to focus on the words
when I pray while I read. Kind of asking God to show me what I should learn in
the section I am reading and then praying for anyone that I think of while I
read it. Then I like to sit and ponder or get up and do something around the
house while pondering the verses I read. Sometimes, like today I read something
thinking of a certain reason and God enlightens me to see a different part of
the chapter I know I have read before and yet did not focus on that part. Does
that ever happen to you?. Leave a comment below if it did and tell me any
stories that came from it!
This morning’s verses below reminded me of my days lately. I
could run out and buy stuff for everyone, but then I think I want something
that will be useful for each person. I like to think of purpose. The cost is
important too! The really neat thing is that when we spend time with God and
seek Him for direction in our hunt for a present we can find peace it in,
instead of stress. Maybe you want to make something for a friend or loved one,
fill a stocking, that can be less costly and it makes someone smile!
“Is anyone thirsty?
Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of
wine or milk— it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give
you strength? Why pay for food that does
you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the
finest food. “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I
promised to David. See how I used him to display my power among the people. I
made him a leader among the nations. You also will command nations you do not
know, and peoples unknown to you will
come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you
glorious.”
Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while
he is near. .Isaiah 55t:1-6
Take some time right now and read the chapter above. Its
full of songs and good thoughts to take you on a day of rejoicing in the Lord!
In His love,
