Are You WALKING
WITHOUT Worry… In His Word-
Remix from 6-27-11
Have
you ever walked through a valley and not worried? Not stressed and wondered
just for a moment, should I be afraid? Then decided no it was not necessary
because the Lord was with you?
I
think it is a natural man sort of thing to get worried if a doctor says, “You
need additional tests done.” Then the technician says, “Don’t worry it’s
probably nothing…” and yet with God’s presence in your life you don’t have to
worry.
You
don’t have to worry because: if God is
for you nothing can stand against you.
You
don’t have to worry because: He will
never leave you nor forsake you, so he will walk through the valley with you!
Let
your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.
For He himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
Do
not fear king of Babylon anymore,’ Says the Lord. ‘For I am with you and will
save you and rescue you from his power. I will be merciful to you by making him
kind, so he will let you stay here in your land.’ Jeremiah 42:10-12
But
now thus says the Lord, who created you O Jacob, and HE who formed you, O
Israel: “Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you
are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not
be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God the Holy
one of Israel, your Savior; … Since you were precious in My sight, you have
been honored and I have loved you. Fear not for I am with you .Isaiah 43:1-5
It
is amusing that we can get news, that could turn out to be good or bad and our
human nature will worry, think things will be worse than they are. Even if it’s
just for a moment; we tend to examine the worst thing that can happen before
the best.
Then as we stop ourselves and pray for God to heal us, to make the car work, to give us the promotion or prosper us in the area we need it; we become double minded in our prayers. God heal me but don’t let me be sick too long. We ask him “Lord fix the car but show me the mechanic so he can fix it.” “Stretch my money but give me more so I can get stuff”.
We
need to think about what we are praying not just pray the words! We need to
know what we want before we ask. God wants us to be straight with Him.
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt you can do all things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘may you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” Mathew 21:21-23
We
need to have faith that God will do what we ask, but how can we do that? How
can we know that He will do what we want? We get in His Word more and more.
We
keep our hearts and minds renewed daily as often as we can; so that we will
know the will of God. Then we pray according to His will. According to His Word
we will receive if we ask believing, no doubt aloud! Trust Him to do what He
has said. He told us He would do it, so believe it!
What
is happening in your life this week?
Did
God tell you that He answered a need, healing, or desire of your heart? Then
believe it! It is a done deal! Walk in it; your part is to listen for the voice
of God to show you where to go from here.
Sure,
sometimes we are shown were to go to get the need met, and sometimes He fills
the need supernaturally with a surprise healing. Thinks like, erasing of a torn
ligament, or broken bone happen without us having to do more than ask
sometimes!. Sometimes He speaks it into existence, and it is there. A job you
prayed for suddenly appears on a list in your mailbox, or a check in the mail
that provides you with groceries!
He
can do anything; He can use anything; He wants that thing to be you!
Last
night while attending a women’s gathering the speaker asked us what God spoke
to us in what she said in her testimony; He told me “I showed you what too do,
now do it.”
I
received it, not really understanding which thing He showed me that I needed to
do but having an idea. Now, I want to pass that on to you today. This week ask
God if He has given you the answer to a prayer and what to do about it; then
just do it.
Listen
to His voice then heed His call, don’t look left or right just take one step at
a time.
Dear
Heavenly Father, help us this week to walk through the valleys and find our way
back to the top of the mountain. Show us that you are with us in the valleys
guiding us through. Help us to trust you to bring us through yet one more day.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
