Are you Living In His Word 2-21-22

The garden calls to me at this time of year. I want to wander in its trails and smell its beautiful scents.I long to be in it so much I sometimes wish I could just live in it!

God wants us to feel that way about spending time with Him. He wants us to desire to remain with Him and in the Spirit we can. If we keep our eyes on the Lord, He will keep us safe, calm and comforted from the world’s problems. More so, when we stay in His presence we are nurtured and watered in the Word, this allows us to bare His fruit.  When we are fruitful it brings others into a desire to know more. It is kind of like when you give someone a grape. Just one is not an option; you want more!

He will never leave us nor forsake us; but we also need to study to show ourselves approved by God. This is not what it takes to be saved it is what we get after we are saved! The Spirit draws us into His presence and then we believe. Once we believe we begin to desire more of Him. We want to be with Him forever! Jesus tells us here that It is possible!

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.  You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.  Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!  When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. John 15:1-8

Share your fruit today! Ask someone if they believe in the Lord Jesus as the Christ. Then share why you believe! Bare fruit also by just being kind, sharing His love is another way to share His fruit.

Giving someone a scripture will do more than you think; His word will not come back void.

Take a moment and think about how close or far you are from God today. Are you sharing your fruit with others? Think about what you can do to increase fruitfulness in your life.

Get in the Word, share the Word. Worship in song, share the song… it is not rocket science!

Be blessed today as you ponder these thoughts, in Jesus’ name.
