Be Done With It! In His Word 8-23-2021

Are you tired of all the trials and troubles in your life? Are you ready to just be done with everyone arguing over what to do or what not to do, ‘in their opinions’? Just do it! Be done with it all!

Stop complaining.

Do everything without complaining or arguing. Philippians 2:14.

Stop believing lies that you hear or read about in the media.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.  This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet[a] acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here. 1 John 4:1-4

We as Christ followers need to learn to discern the difference between truth and lies, but sometimes the enemy is so crafty we begin to wonder which is which! That is when we need to look to the Holy Spirit to guide us.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore, they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 1 John 4:4-5

We can overcome the fears and the stress that is brought on by both going back to work and then being told things may get bad again. We can get over the fear of going out to shop because someone may be protesting something or throwing around their attitudes about how things are harder now in the world. We can also be strong in the Lord and pray about it!

Ask God to show you what to pray, when to pray and how to pray to find peace.

Then trust God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trusting Him means that you remember that He will never leave you nor forsake you, that He will shelter you with His wings, and He will be a hedge of protection around you when you pray and ask Him to!

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and [c]conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption [d]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:9-14

Then accept the peace He gives us. It can be easy to ignore peace as it often seems out of place. We see bad things going on around us and do not understand how we can know peace, or live life normally without it seeming to effect us. How you ask? How do we know peace? By walking in the Spirit. By allowing God to really rule in our lives and hearts. We gain this incite by getting in the Word of God daily not just weekly or bi-weekly at church or classes. I trust that you and I can know peace in the midst of chaos by filling our thoughts with the Word that brings peace that passes understanding to us and those around us!

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:15-17

So finally, let us give thanks to God, the maker of the heavens and the earth that will help us through whatever we have to go through. Thank Him for keeping the peace in our hearts and mind when we keep our mind on Him!

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3-4

Keep the peace, stop the fears and worry, in Jesus’ name…
