You don’t have to do this! In His Word
7-26-2021
Are you carrying around a bucket full of fear lately?
Fear of sickness, fear of riots, fear of being mistreated
because of who you are? Do you know who you are?
You, if you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus the
Christ, are saved. You are chosen and you are His child. What you and I need to
remember is that we need to live according to what the Spirit of the Lord tells
us to live like. Not as the world does, because we are not of this world, we
are His.
Now, you do not have to accept the fear that the world would
throw at you all over the internet, the television news. You can have peace because
Jesus left you with peace that overcomes all of these things. You do not have
to accept the fear, you can live like a believer.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if
by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
these are sons of God. For you did not
receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of
adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:13-15
You do not have to live wondering who you are; you are
chosen by God to be His servant unto the Lord. Now that is not like a slave, but
someone who is given blessings for serving Him. Serving the Lord does not mean
you have to go out and do a bunch of manual labor either, it means you honor
Him with your life.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to
obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:16 kjv
You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called
from its farthest regions, and said to you,
‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you
away: Fear not, for I am with you.
In honoring Him we trust Him to take care of us. If we are
walking around in fear, then we are not trusting Him.
My husband has told me this a few times, when I am walking
in fear, I am not walking in faith, trusting God to take care of me. So, I need
to put my fears aside, dump out the bucket and fill that bucket with the Holy Spirit
and faith! Trust Him to take care of me.
I need to trust Him to heal me in His time, to strengthen me in His time. Also,
I need to trust that as I am obedient to Hm following His commands my heart is
made right in His sight. When my heart is made right, I can trust that I am
walking with Him.
Okay, here we go, so when we are right with God, as children
of God, we can be assured that we are waking with Him and trust that He will
take care of us. So why worry? Why stress?
He is not done with us; He is teaching us new things each
day if we are seeking Him for it. I am confident that He will complete the job
of completing those of us who are following His direction, His guidance, His
commands and finding His peace, hope, and love.
If God is for us nothing can stand against us… so , we do
not have to do this! We do not have to accept Him, but more than that we do not
have to accept the fear that the world, and the enemy tries to pile on us each
day. We do not have to live a life hiding, we do not have to live a life afraid
to go out of the house. We can trust and obey and be happy in Jesus!
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in
every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the
first day until now, 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has
begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of
you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in
the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of
grace. For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection
of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more
in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are
excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness
which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:3-11
Just something to ponder today; we don’t have to walk in fear,
we can walk in the peace and hope and joy of the Lord who is our strength. In
Jesus’ name
