Dailies ~In His Word
May 10, 2019

He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord psalm 40:3

Who do you trust? Your spouse, your kids, your boss, or your pastor?  Is your best friend someone you can trust?  For the past few days I have awoken with a different verse of the same song. This morning it was the following.
I will put my trust in you Oh Lord you are a firm foundation … Holy there is none beside thee … open up my eyes in wonder…
Today I will put my trust in Him! I will not be afraid! What can man do to me?
I can say it, I can quote it, but can I live it?

I guess to live it is to proclaim it, and to walk in it.
Seriously, I know several people in the past few years who have had to put their trust in Him to the test. They were diagnosed with a debilitating disease or worse and yet they kept their mind on Him and looked to His promises in His Word and prayer. They have beat cancers, and other illnesses that would have drawn them to the grave should the enemy have won long ago, but because of Jesus; they have been healed!

So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters. For he said to God, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people.”  He also said, “I will put my trust in him,” that is, “I and the children God has given me.” Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, which had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Hebrews 2:11-15
Jesus broke the power that death had on us when He broke the power the devil had on it! There is no reason to fear dying if you find a reason to continue living to the final breath!  The reason is to seek and to save and to give honor and glory to Jesus who died so that we would not have to! The real people affected by a believer’s death are those left behind. In the same, those influenced by the healings, are also those left here on earth to continue His work! Why not walk in that promise, in that hope, or that love, right now every day even without any illness, sickness or disease? Why not share of His goodness right now? Don’t wait for a terrible thing to happen to realize that Jesus is needed by everyone around you right at this moment!  Begin to pray for those you see, speak to those you can and share the good news of His hope, love and joy everlasting!  Look around you; people are perishing for lack of knowledge of Jesus Christ. Live it!
Heavenly Father, give us a voice to speak, a prayer to pray to bring healing and hope to a dying world today. In Jesus name, amen!
