~In His Word
April
25, 2019
Today marks the day when my
youngest graduates from university with honors. What the Professors and the Deans
do now know is that he is a miracle! He
was born beyond blue, which means he did not have a brainwave, nor breathe in
his lungs. In fact they said he barely had a heart beat. When I watch him walk across
the stage today and shake hands with people, pose for photos I will cry. I will
cry and praise my God because the baby who almost wasn’t here, but for a gift
of God to fulfill, is graduating with double honors.
Not many know that I was told not
to expect a lot from him as a baby, not to expect him to be a calm normal child
because he was a wild child. But God had other plans! This fine young man that
He has turned out to be will now go on to live his adult life carrying the
promises of God in his heart and mind and soul and strength knowing that God is
with him wherever he goes. As I watched him grow into the young man he is today I know that having God walk it with him has been the key to who he is. I know that he has been ready to do what God wants him to do all of his life. His will above his own.
It makes me wonder how Jesus’s
Mother Mary felt when he turned the water into wine at the wedding as He embarked
on His ministry years on earth.
When he hung on the cross and said;
woman here is your son and pointed to a disciple. He knew the pain she felt,
she knew He was doing the will of the Father as he rose up and saved us all.
When my son walks out into the
world to be his own man, I know He will be with him. I pray that he always remembers that as well.
In Jesus name!
Now there
stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary
Magdalene. When
Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing
by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” 27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple
took her to his own home
John 19:25-24.
Heavenly father, help us all to
walk as our Lord desires for us to walk, in His love toward one another and
You, and to know true prosperity is when we share and save a life, in Jesus name.
