Dailies ~In His Word
April 22, 2019
Some days we find it so easy to get caught up in the cares of this world.
We find that the physical needs of those around us and the desires to do more
or get more can clog our thinking and our fruitfulness for the Lord. We could
all easily become as the seed that fell among the thorns.
The
seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, but all too
quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of
wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. Mark 4:18
Except for we are not those seed! We are the ones who flourished and
grew strong! We are the ones who choose to walk worthy of our calling!
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk
worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the
Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of
your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and
Father of all, who is above
all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:1-5
Let’s encourage one another to walk
in the way that God has called us to walk, to be full of the Spirit, to be
humble and gentle, accepting things that come at us as a team, keeping in
unity. Let’s not argue over what church does what but instead remember that we
are called into one Church, the Body of Christ. We are called to attend our
church and serve there but even more so we are called to One faith, One
baptism, One God and Father who is above all and in us all. That means we are
one in faith, which means one family of God; no more are we to say “my church
is better than your church”. God’s people are connected together through
Christ. So let’s make it a plan today to
be together in our behaviors as Christ would behave. Lets work together to be
One with Christ, and then with one another as well as we are all bonded
together through Him.
Heavenly Father, Help us to be one
with You, and to get along. In Jesus name, amen
