Dailies ~ In His Word
April 13, 2019
It’s kind of easy but difficult at the same time; salvation is free! How can something so important to our lives here on earth and later in heaven be free? Or is it really? I mean we do have to believe, if we believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He died for us to make it as if we never sinned even though we all have sinned… is it really free?
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.  Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood Romans 3:22-26
What if we just were really good? Couldn’t we be ‘sinless’?  No, we all were born in sin thanks to Adam and Eve.  The short of the story is that we can have the sin in our lives erased and that other than believing that it is so because Jesus sacrificed His life so we could be forgiven after he came back from the dead, we don’t have to do anything but repent. Of course we just have to believe at first, but then sometimes we feel like we need to repent, or apologize to God for what we have done. He works with that!  Once we realize He is real and that He died for us, we are ‘saved from our sins’.
Then we have a provider, protector, healer, help in trouble, comforter, guide… everything! Jesus is our everything if we let Him be!
I thank God that I realized my need for Christ in my life in my room so many years ago. I thank God that He allowed me to be a part of His family and that He calls me friend!
Heavenly Father, thank you for being so open for us to accept You as our Lord, and to guide us and love us forever! Thank you for giving us salvation and cleansing us from our sins! In Jesus name, amen.
