Dailies ~in His
Word
March 13, 2019
Stop and
look around you for a moment. Are you seeing what I see? God has placed you
where you are and brought you through what He has brought you through to use
you just where you are.
Each
person mentioned in the Bible, the Word of God, has been used to further the
kingdom, but that is not all. Each
person, good and bad that went through so much, even those who died as evil
rotten scoundrels have helped us to become the people we are today just by
reading about them.
Sometimes
I think, I would love to write a book that influences people to change their lives,
to better themselves. You know the kind of life altering story-line that makes
you sit up and take notice of your own failures and goals. It makes you think
twice about complaining and fills you up with gratitude for what God has done
for you. Or maybe it spurs you on to do for others as you would have them do to
you?
And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. Luke 6:31
When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the
disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send
you.” And when He had said this, He
breathed on them, and said to
them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they
are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of
any, they are retained.” John 20:21-23
Just as with Jesus, coming to earth to die for our sins,
He lived as a man for our sakes that we would live our lives for those who He
would have us encourage following Him also.
Let’s look around us this week and take stock of whom we
come in contact with and get to share the testimony of what God has done in our
lives. Let draw near to Him and allow Him to speak through us via the Holy
Spirit.
Heavenly Father, use our lives as an instrument of mercy
and hope, in Jesus’ name, amen
