Dailies- in His Word
February 4
Do
you ever feel like God dropped you off at the bus stop and forgot to send the
bus?
You
know what I mean; He called you to speak, preach, or teach and you find
yourself waiting for Him to either open a door for you to walk through or
something big telling you where to go next. Well sometimes God does not put up
a 20 foot neon light flashing “go this way” but it does not mean He is not
working on your destiny.
And
I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His
work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Philippians 1:6
“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the
mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there
was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but
the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire
there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19”11-12
Sometimes God speaks in a
quiet voice or a gentle nudge when He wants you to step out in faith. Even
Peter had to have faith to walk on water!
Trust God to bring it to pass
in His time, and keep your ears tuned for the still small voice of God today!
Heavenly Father, thank you.
For... Everything you do, for your love, for your still small voice of guidance
and direction in Jesus name, amen.
