Love Him, with your all. Love them as yourself.
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it,
is this: ‘You shall love your
neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-32
It was pretty interesting to me to read
this, always is, that God wants us to love Him with our all, and then to love
those around us as we love ourselves. If
you think about it we mostly love ourselves a lot, we make sure we have food,
and drink. We clothe ourselves to make us look our best and yet do we treat
others as we treat ourselves? I think this other scripture here says the same
thing.
Do unto others as you would have them do
unto you. Love others as yourself, its all the same; love others as you want to
be loved.
Do you wish to be given gifts? Then give gifts to others. Do you
wish to be surrounded by those people who love you too? Surround yourself with
those who are loving and you will find it.
If you are hungry, feed the hungry. You get the idea?
Heavenly Father, help us to love on others in the same way we want
to be loved, as we love ourselves! Help us be a blessing to those around us and
be a friend indeed. In Jesus name, amen.
