Dailies – In His Word
Day 9
The book of Acts is full of just that, a lot of things that the Apostles did. They brought so many people to the saving knowledge of Christ through both speaking and preaching but also through signs and wonders.  (Acts 14: 8-23) They healed a certain man who had not been able to walk ever in his lifetime to the point that Paul and Barnabas were walking by. Paul saw that he had shown signs of having faith to be healed and so he healed him. The man immediately got up and jumped and walked and gave God the glory!
People heard that he was healed and thought that the men who healed him were gods instead. Paul and Barnabas tried to explain it to them but they did not listen at the time.
They stoned Paul because of it thinking they had killed him. Later after the Apostles came to get him they walked away to another town for a while still returning to teach the truth to the people of the same town at a later date.
Many were saved because of this; they went back to let the people have a second chance.
Sometimes you have to go through a lot of trouble and trials to ‘win the lost’ to salvation. It’s not always easy to share the Gospel with some people but it is always worth it.
And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.” So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.  Acts 14:21-23

Are there people in your life you have ‘written off because you thought they would rather shut you out than come to the Truth? Remember that His Word will not return to you void but it may take a bit to get the Word out there at times. Just keep sharing, and trusting God, praying that someday they too will know the truth and it will set them free!

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11

Heavenly Father, help us to continue speaking the truth from Your Word today, and every day that many will know You as we do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
