Write it down-- In His Word 12-14-18

Writing it down, In His Word 12-24-18

Today I was reading a section of the Bible that God has brought me back to for the full year nearly every week for one reason or another. Today I read it in my paper Bible in New King James, then went to the Bible app to see what other versions brought up.

 Habakkuk 2:1-3

According to The Message Bible.

What’s God going to say to my questions? I’m braced for the worst.
I’ll climb to the lookout tower and scan the horizon. I'll wait to see what God says. How
he’ll answer my complaint.  And then God answered: “Write this.
Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming--it can hardly wait! And
it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

Another version reads; I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard-post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint. Then the Lord aid to me "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time.  It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. if it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
They are both from Habakkuk 2: verses 1-3 but they come out sounding just a little different. The main point is there though, wait to hear what God says and write it down to be used at the specific time He has planned.

There is a reason for what we read, and what version we read it in, did you realize that yet? When God gives us a word it does not matter what language He gives it to us we will hear it I our own way of talking if we listen with our heart not just our ears. God will speak to us in the flowers, or the fallen leaves. He will speak to us through a movie we watch at the theater even!  I do not mean the obvious Christian style ones that are now out there but through  things like Transformers we can learn how God is more powerful than the biggest enemy and when we are on His side, the side of good and right, we will win every battle!

It is probably a little funny sounding to you but when I watch a show I try to see what God has in it for me. What’s my purpose for watching that show? I have done this for years and found that when I was in the Word more I saw much more depth in movies than I see when I am not digging in when I read the Bible daily.
This section really got to me today because I have so any piles of paper writing Bible studies. Printed Bible books, that have not yet been professionally published and yet they were so enjoyable to the studies back in the day. I do not say this to boast but on the contrary, to say I slacked off!  I used to write it all down, I used to put it to good use and for a few years now I have withheld the Word! I am guilty of not only not writing some things down I have relished in but I have also hoarded what I had that may have been used by God. I could feel so horrible over this situation or instead I can choose to do something new timely and ready!

These scriptures today are for the New Year ahead people! Write it down, but not just that use it for the time that is specified by God that it is the time! Now is the time for me to bring out the Walk in His Word, and get it up and running again! Now is the time for you to pull out that study you worked on years ago and re read it! God has a message for you in that Word He gave you ten or even twenty years ago and He wants you to read it and to get it!

Do not let self get in the way. One of the above translations called the title “Full of Self, but Soul Empty”. This made me sit up! I have been soul full but also have had my time of full of self! I have been guilty of thinking I am not good enough for God to use. It is not about me! Teresa is not good enough but God in me is! He can use what He wants, even a lame moving on a t.v. screen!

It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.Isaiah 55:11

What did I get from it?  Visions will come, ideas from random things that point to God, and we need to write them down because they will be useful in the appointed proper timing. There is a reason for what He shows us visually or spiritually visual either way as scribes we should be writing it down for when it is needed or helpful to complete God’s purpose. His Word will not come back void but ti will do what it was sent to do!
Are you writing it down today?
As you go forward into the new year, planning for what you will change; I suggest you get yourself a Journal, or a spiral bound note book. Begin each day with reading and then writing what you got. Then at the end of the day, or end of the week, read over what you wrote and think on the week and how this can work God’s will in your life. Maybe there is a friend you have that will need to read it? Maybe it is for your children or future family? Save it! God’s word will not return void, it really will do what He promises!
Be purposeful and focused as you being your planning of the new year ahead, pray, ask God what to do and then walk in it!
Dear Heavenly Father, show us what Your will Is for the New Year ahead. Help us to keep our minds on You and in perfect peace as we step out into the unknown! Help us to share your Love this week, in Jesus name, amen.
