He Loves You... Believe it! In His Word 7-31-17

He loves you…Believe it! In His Word-7-21-17

Can you believe all that we go though each day that could totally drive us bananas?  I am talking Lab Tests, and cranky babies, cars that fall apart, and even just plain not feeling up to the level you usually do physically. It can all bring us down; but God has a plan regardless of this!

And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things”. Genesis 8:21

God had his share of ‘days like this’. He had to deal with crazy drivers and people who accepted His blessings yet turned around and cried for more. Yet He forgave them, He provided more and He accepted their sacrifice unto Him.
We are God’s children, if we believe in Christ Jesus as our Lord, and in God the Father we are His children.

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.  They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. John 1:12-13

So being, we must behave as our Father gives us direction. When we pray we plead with Him to answer, yet when He does we do not always obey His direction. Or sometimes we complain because we did not get what we wanted and we cry out to Him in prayer. We expect Him to be at our beck and call! That is not how it should be my friends; it should be the other way around.

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5

Take a Selah Moment! If we are truly loving the Lord with all our heart: we are seeking what is best for Him, not us.

“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses? ”Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment
. Matthew 22: 36-38
If we really love Him with all our soul; we will love Him with all our heart because we will desire the spiritual connection that comes from loving Him.
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord.  And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
If we sincerely love the Lord with all of our mind we will here Him when He says “Listen Up!” and we will respond in such a way that He will know we love Him and for that matter that He did not have to say ‘Listen up’ because we would be already listening! We would have our heart and mind attuned to His Holy Spirit in such a close relationship that we would know He was talking.

I always thank my God when I pray for you, Philemon, because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people.  And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
Philemon 4-6
If we are loving Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength then we would be praying for one another with the same love that Paul prayed for those around Him. We would also be seen with the same eyes as Peter and Paul saw their crew. They loved one another as Christ loved them; we should go and do likewise.
So let us ask ourselves today; do I really love the Lord my God will all my heart, soul, mind and strength? If so, will I go and do whatever He directs me to go and do? Even if it means I have to leave my friends?
Selah.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to allow those whom you have called to follow the path You have called them to, in the same way that we expect them to allow us to follow the path You have called us to. Help us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to behave as You would have us behave as we walk in Your steps, In Jesus name, amen,
