Send the Message-In His Word 4-1-13

Are you preaching the Word? Are you putting yourself out there to spread the news, to fight the good fight and get the Gospel out to the world?
Or are you trying to live your life the best you can and struggling from day; with no purpose and nothing really to live for or look forward to?
God has a purpose for your life, you just need to find out what it is and walk in it.
For Paul it was to learn the law, then learn the meaning of grace. He stuck his neck out there for what he thought was right before he met Jesus on the way to Damascus. Then he would refuse to listen to those people who would try to tell him Jesus was the fulfillment of the Law. Once he had his Damascus moment it all changed! From that point on his life was turned over to following the Way, the Truth, and the Life of Christ!

Have you had your Damascus moment yet? Have you made the realization that you just can't do it on your own? Whatever your 'it' is God wants to help you see the true path laid out for you.

Paul tells us what to do.
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things. Endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5
Preach the Word!
Be ready in season and out of season.
Convince.
Rebuke.
Exhort .
With all long-suffering, and teaching.

Do the Word! Pass it on!

The Word of God itself tells us what path to follow. Maybe your ministry is to actually be a preacher or teacher who gets paid for that job, but those of us who do it without pay are just as much accountable to the plan of God. We do not get to reap the benefits without putting in the time, you know what I mean?

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Colossians 4:3-5
We need to use the time we have been given wisely, and that means that we should not waste a moment! I don't mean you have to be all work and no play, but to study to show ourselves approved and know the Word of God so that we can share the Gospel at any moment is what we need to do; because He spoke it into existence for just that purpose.

Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:6-10

Do not grow weary. Take what you learned and share with the teachers as well as the unbelievers, sow the good stuff. Or should I say the God stuff! We need to not look to satisfy our fleshly selfish desires but the desires of our heart should indeed be that which the Lord would have us do. I have been researching Colleges, and assisting young adults and teens with where to go to College, what to do in life, of late and I have learned that there is a lot out there to choose from these days. If I could point them in one direction I would say find a job that will allow you to reach people for Christ who would not otherwise be reached.

In our short lives here on earth we have that one objective; to pass on what we have been taught about God and His Gospel so that many will come to know Him and that they too would pass it on.

Did you ever play 'telephone line' in school? That is the game that you say something in the ear of the person next to you, and they say something to the next person that is the same as they heard. Then when you get to he last person you find out if the message came across correctly. Our job as believers is to share the truth of Jesus Christ rising from the dead to make it possible for us to become holy as He is holy. For us to be resurrected in newness of life one day just as He was, is. Our message is that it is free to those who believe. If we do not share it the person twenty people down the road may never get the message.

Did you send the message today? Did you pass on what you received? Start with something small, tell someone today that God is good! See how long it takes to pass that one around your office, the grocery store or wherever else you spend your day.
Or purchase one of those 10 cent cards from the book store that have scripture sayings on them. Pass on what you have learned. Fulfill your ministry today.

Dear Heavenly Father, give us the words to speak and the boldness in which to speak them today, wherever we are. Open doors and windows that we may speak of Your truth. In Jesus name, amen.
