Dailies- In His
Word
Day 2
The new year has begun and we are all excited for what is I store!
So many people have been saying “this is the year!” for whatever … What is in
store for you? What has your heavenly Father called you personally to do in
these days?
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; Isaiah 43:1-3
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; Isaiah 43:1-3
He has called us to be safe, He has called us to spend time
resting, preparing for more work in His name.
Then the
apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and
what they had taught. And He
said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted
place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they
did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by
themselves. Mark 6:30-32
He and
His disciples whom He had called were greeted on the other side of their rest
with an even bigger crowd of people who sought to hear, to be healed to be
taught by the Lord our God. They needed to have the time of rest between the hard
work and service for Him.
We are His and He has gathered us together to rest, but not
to rest from just all the hard work but to rest in Him so that we may go out an
do more for His purpose.
We have had a vacation, or at least a day off to rest up
after the holidays. Now it is time to get back to the grind, but in a new
light. Lets remember to keep Go with us as we enter in to our work place, our
busy schedule at home and in our place of employment. Let us remember today
that God is with us and He has called us to spend time with Himself. Then He
will give us strength for the battle! Then we can do this!
Do not be afraid for God is with you wherever you go today!
Dear Heavenly Father be obvious with us as we continue on in
our daily lives, yet try to start anew the time with You we crave each day. In
Jesus’ name, amen.
Be blessed this day as you walk in His rest in His Word.
