What’s your plan? In His Word 12-6-2025
It’s the first month, the first week of the new year. Do you
feel pressured to create a plan for your life this year? So many people do, but
do we really have to?
Think about it this way; we can’t just go on willy-nilly
through life, at least not to live a good life. God had a plan before he
created the heaven and the earth, but we also now that He hovered a bit and I
believe He was thinking on that plan. When we are young we may try to ‘just wing’
life, but as we grow older we have to mature and that means making plans for
our days, months or years.
Still, when life is full of troubles and stress at the
beginning of the year we tend to see things a little less clearly. That is often
when we need to get things straightened out in our perspective. It is important to get our mind cleared of
clutter and spend time in the Word, and prayer daily but even more so in the
start of anything new.
So, why not start out
with that extra time of prayer in the morning and study an extra bit of
scripture along with the rest of the group, but it is a moment in time and if
it does not last an hour every day, know that God will still be there. He
follows you are daily, well sort of; He will never leave you nor forsake you,
remember?
So when life is crazy in the beginning remember to seek God
and ask for His help with making any goals you need, at work, at home, in life
in general, just seek Him for directions. Then follow through. Do the best that
you can with what you have been given to do. You can do all things according to
His direction according to His plan for you.
Read the following verses about God and His plan for His people.
Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from
the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right
hand saves me. The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful
love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.
Psalms 138:7-8
May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace
and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in
order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God
forever and ever! Amen. Galatians 1:3-5
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
so none of us can boast about it. For we
are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the
good things he planned for us long ago. Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to
be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were
proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not
their hearts. Ephesians 2:9-22
We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near.
People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds. God says, “At the time I have
planned, I will bring justice against the wicked. When the earth quakes and its
people live in turmoil, I am the one who keeps its foundations firm. Interlude
Psalm 75:1-3
His plan is to get our attention, to acknowledge His existence,
and invite Him into our lives. Then He will keep the stress to a minimum as
long as we are putting our trust in Him to do so. He will keep us in perfect
peace when our minds are ‘stayed’ on Him. His plan is perfect ours is, well fallible.
He knows the plans He has for us to
prosper, be healthy, be strong, in His plan this will work out. The problem is
we forget to listen to His plan or read it in the Word.
That’s why it’s important to spend the extra time in prayer.
The extra time in reading the Word will give us direction, guidance, and
strength to continue even with the pressures and stress at work.
Let’s just do it!
If we plan nothing else lets plan to read more, pray more
and listen more to the Lord and His direction and follow the path He gives us,
In His Word.
