Hope~Wait for it! In His Word Advent Day 6

Wait for it! Hope in the Word, Advent Day 6  12-06-2025

Here we are at the end of our hope! Well the end of the week at least! Hopefully we have learned as we focused on the Word and Hope this week is that hope is an eternal, and internal thing. Its something we will live with daily as a Christ follower, the hope of His return.

First they hoped for the Messiah, and then He came. To some that was enough, then more learned that He is coming again!Hope is strong, though it is soetimes defered or put on hold for a while if we keep out trust and hope in the right place then we will be able to stand before Him knowing we stood firm!

After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you!  1Thessalonians 2:19

Our hope comes from the Lord, the maker of the heavens and the earth.

For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.  Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope,  the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us.  We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)Romans 8:19-25

And now since we come to the end of the week we know our hope will not end until it completes its task, sort of the same as the Word of God. Hope means we have to wait sometimes a long time but we can be patient and confident that the one who gave us the hope will help us to wait for it! In Jesus' name!

Tomorrow begins a new Word in the Word for Advent week 2!I can't wait to see what God will do! How about you?

See you then!
