Advent day 2
Today's advent is about Hope again but today I was thinking about how Hope is an interesting word. It is found at least 500 times in the Word of God and to me that makes it a pretty important word, though any word in our Bible is to be read and thought on HOPE is essential to get through each day.
H~ Love the Lord, all you godly ones! For the Lord protects those who are loyal to Him, but he harshly punishes the arrogant. So, be strong and courageous all you who put our hope in the Lord! Psalm 31:23-24
O~ Our hearts our filled with Hope by the Holy Spirit. We can rejoice too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this HOPE will not lead to disapointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Romans 5:3-5
P~Perseverance is possible when we put our trust, or HOPE in God. NKJV says it like this. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in HOPE of the glory of God. And not only that but we alsoglory in tribulations knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance, character; and character, Hope. 5:1- 4
E~Everything Eternal comes via the Hope of Glory! To them God willed to make known whatare the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the HOPE of glory. Colossians 1:27
In otherwords God wanted us to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for us too!Christ living in us was then a secret but now we know that His Hope through the Holy Spirit lives in our heart when we trust Him, we have the assin urance of sharing His Glory, in Salvation.
Hope is the substance!
Think on these things as you hope for today to bringyou tomorrow walking closer to Him. In Jesus' name.
