Cause people asked…In His Word 5-5-2025
Fairly recently I traveled to another country, well to be
real it was 5 countries, some of which were once inhabited by Peter and Paul
and a few other people mentioned in the Bible we read. People have asked me
what my favorite part of the trip was; I have to say doing the will of God in
it all was the best part. The rest was icing on the cake!
We went on a trip with a few reasons, and God’s plan was
achieved over them all.
I learned a bit about having faith over fear, but before
that I thought I knew what I was sharing! I have a jacket with the words Faith
over fear on it and a scripture under it.I wore it every day, rain or shine at some point.
We were blessed with daily Bible Studies on the ship we
crossed the Atlantic on and it was so spiritually satisfying each day! It was
considered an interdenominational study and I have to say we had a lot of
different denominations, but we all came together each day. There was one thing
that united many of us from so many different backgrounds, the Word of God and
Jesus! We also all wanted others to come to know Him as we do. So as each
person taught we gathered the knowledge and were encouraged to share it with
others. We actually found ourselves inviting others to join us in the Bible
study, and talking about Jesus out in the open everywhere we went with others.
Now, if you know me you know I do that a bit, but I was actually sharing with
my husband in telling the story of how we met, and how we accepted Christ and
just what He means to us while sitting on a deck chair and enjoying an iced
coffee with whip! That is a perfect day
to me!
I thought I was going to be the only one or a small number
of people wanting to do this, I bring scripture cards with me wherever I go and
so I was putting them all over the place and handing them to people too. It
never ceased to bring a smile on the persons face, not because I was the one
handing it to them, but because God’s Word will not come back void but will
complete the task it is set to! It changed lives, if even for a moment.
I asked God what to do each day, and for Him to show me when
to hand out the cards. So when I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit I did so.
It was not about me, but about softly sharing the scriptures,
to share the Gospel with those in all walks of life. Yes, even on a cruise ship
there are people who need to know the Lord exists and cares for them.
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep
on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to
you. For everyone who asks, receives.
Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7 :7-8
Before I was saved I was someone who did not know I needed
Christ. I thought if I was a good person I could get to heaven. But then I
heard the truth through the Bible. I found out I needed to know Jesus and also
allow Him to be Lord of my life in order to go to heaven some day.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were
working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give
you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is
Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
I was excited as it gets when I was first saved, I put a
bumper sticker on the back of my golden pinto and read for an hour a day, and
two hours on Sunday! I wanted to know all there was about my God, and I wanted
others to know Him too!
It was not always easy, and I did not get to just share Him
everywhere, but the more I grew, and took classes at Church I learned more
about how to share Him with others.
So, back then I taught kids and shared with them, some of
them shared with others and so on. It made me feel like I was doing something
for the kingdom. But I wanted more.
And not only for that nation, but to bring together and
unite all the children of God scattered around the world. John 11:52
One day I was given my calling to teach and to preach and to
speak to all people of all nations and all walks of life, later I added in all
ages as I finished praying one day. As I
taught ladies in Bible studies for several years, taught all ages of kids, did
VBS’ and Camps and Retreats. I figured I was covering my calling. But as you
just read in John 11:52, God wants all of His children to come to know Him in
unity. So now I am telling people around the world as I travel, not as a
ministry per say but as an answer to my calling. Wherever we go we are to obey
the calling of the Lord. Do you know what yours is? If not pray, and or have
someone pray with you that you may know
what it is that God wants you personally to do for the kingdom.
Yours may not be as long as mine, but it may be to share His
love in other ways. Feeding the hungry, or adopting Children, or whole families
and sharing the Gospel with them as well. Who knows if you are called to do
this , or more? The Lord does and He will reveal it to you I am certain!
But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this
gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the
nations, and then the end will come. “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination
of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place”
(whoever reads, let him understand),Matthew 24:13-15
Don’t stop seeking. Don’t stop asking Him what you should do
each day because when we do this we see results! Just like the men and women of the Bible
sought the Lord and He heard them and delivered them from their fears, their sins,
and their lost lives, we can seek Him. He will share His heart to us and what
He wants for us to do, and our part will be walking it out. Each day, each
moment that we are alive we have a situation that we can share His love in some
way. Just wait for it! Then walk in it!
In His Love,
